Patricia de Lima: Voice of DC


MXDC – The Mexican Professionals Network and Young Professionals of the Americas (YPA) invite you to join us in our upcoming event of the returning #MoreWomeninPower speaker series: MWIP with Patricia de Lima, the voice of Washington DC
For our second MWIP of the year, radio host Patricia de Lima will share experiences and lessons learned in her career in media as well as strategies on how to promote female leadership within the field.
About Patricia de Lima:
Patricia De Lima immigrated to Virginia from her native Venezuela in 2004. She became the first Hispanic woman to lead El Zol Radio’s afternoon show and soon after moved to take over El Zol’s morning show where she has become El Zol’s most popular and beloved on-air personality. In 2019, De Lima was nominated for the Medalla de Cortez award as Radio Personality of the Year. She was also chosen as Radio Personality of the Year by Children’s National Hospital. She is the host of a variety of parties, concerts, festivals and community events. During Hispanic Heritage Month she represents The Nationals, DC United, The National Zoo, and as well as other organizations. She is well known as the VOICE of the DMV area.
About More Women in Power
More Women in Power is a speaker series aimed at developing leadership capabilities for young professionals living and working in the metropolitan area of Washington, DC. The objective of these sessions is to listen and learn from successful women in different professional areas of expertise who share their experiences and challenges faced throughout their careers. All of this from a gender perspective.
These workshops and conferences provide opportunities for our members to acquire new skills, as well as strengthen their networks sharing the common goal of an egalitarian society. Our speakers are women who have excelled in their fields, and acted as an inspirational role models for our members and our organization. We also welcome women advocates.
